It's got a big balsy shape. Kinda like an old Everlast I had years ago. Don't think I ever hit a Lonsdale before.....

Nice one mate!! wish i could get my son interestedOriginally posted by goju View Postwell my 11 year old son has just got into bagin as well after watching his old man give it a try, so as soon as the new platform is here ill pass down that lonsdale bag to him. Should be great for him to start pounding on.
11 is a nice young age to get started you may have a future expert in the making

Hey SSP! if i had seen that bag i would have bought it too on looks alone the fact it says reinforced punching area makes me think it was designed purely for boxing on a U bar swivel mainly from the front, i had my knuckles bleeding on my new lonsdaleOriginally posted by spinsmashpop View PostHey Fingers!
I too recently ordered a Lonsdale bag, pretty much because I thought it LOOKED cool and figured it was a more top of the line bag.
I bought this one....
I too agree it is a bit hard on the hands and the rebound is rather lacking.
I guess it goes into the category of "bags to punch when you want to go for power and strength as opposed to speed and technique". For me, that is a rarity as I am obsessed with improving my fluidity on the advanced techniqes and punch drumming more than anything.
Also had to mention I dig your set up. The little timer/clock is great. I need to get one like that. Nice pics on your profile page.
BAG ON!

had to clean it (as its new)
. thanks for the comments about my profile page, I have seen you improve beyond compare in each video you post!! the timer is a digital cooking timer i use it to time rounds on the bags which i combine with weights to give that extra burn!! pain indeed
all the best Fingers

Hey Alan! i think i have only seen this lonsdale bag (ball) on English web pages the authentic tag i think refers to the retro style from a bygone era (a bit like me)Originally posted by Speedbag View PostIt's got a big balsy shape. it has 8 panels this may be why is is so stable! i am using it to learn some of your bible skills, but after doing only boxing training it is a bit like teaching an old dog new tricks

Hey Fingers! I never saw your reply to my post until now. Don't know how I missed it. Thanks for the kind words.....
So, 2 things re: the Lonsdale bag I bought that you commented on...
(I still this bag looks wizard!)
...I don't have it with me on the road so I ask. If I deflate this bag a bit, do you think it will react a little better? And, I've barely ever, (outside of with Bif in a gym in May) hit from a U-bolt swiv. Do bags generally go faster on them?
Thanks. Anyone else's insight would be cool too!
