      Nice, all good information and pictures, Love it. There was a time period when i wasn't on the forum because when paranday posted the photos and with what you guys posted, i sure would've make a comment or two, Those vaudeville days were magical lots of unbelievable talent from the men and women of that time

        Very cool, thanks for all this info! I'd like to set it up as authentically as possible. A big bag sounds like it would be fun.

          I've never seen the original rope swivels that came with these platforms, I've only seen them from where i posted the pictures from the catalog above, Sorry to say but you will probably never find them because there were probably updated with more modern swivels, like the Ball-Hook swivels, other swivels i seen on them were Chainlink and U-bolt, But the all metal ball-hook is a more pure swivel to where you can hit from all sides and angles of the bag without having the limitations of the chainlink or the u-bolt swivel, Plus what other people don't realize and from years of my experience of hitting on the chainlink & u-bolt (Side Bar/i hit on the chainlink for alot of years and the u-bolt for a short time before i just threw the u-bolt in the garage can) the chainlink would kink up when i would hit with a true boxing style that included boxing the bag with combinations (not circle hammer fist) So whenever i threw a straight punch then to a hook punch, the chainlink couldn't handle that fast extreme change of angles so it was frustrating, and that is because of the Mechanical design of the swivel, Also the bag only hit on two panels of the bag, the front and back, Wearing out the bag prematurely, The other panels of the bag never hit the drum, With the metal ball-hook you can hit from all sides and angles of the bag with no problem plus all the bags panels would hit the drum, Making the bag last longer.

              Yes, just recently i got into retro fitting what i call the first generation big ball-hook swivels with my assemblies, The first generation swivels would wear out at the eyebolt shank and eventually break from long usage, Then people would install the wrong ball-hooks from the cheaper stamped steel everlast swivels, edit BTW i'm in USA
