Valor ca-53 2" speed bag/vertical platform and cleto reyes xl bag
Sorry for delayed response (deployed, and dealing Chief Selects now) , Cleto X-Large bag is a beast, humbling cardio experience. The Valor platform swivel was horrible, I upgraded with A-51, overall it's very sturdy and heavy. The worm drive wheel/helm is plastic, unfortunately. More to follow....

... I sure would like to get one of those valor platforms but because it's chrome plated l think it would rust up because l live just blocks from the ocean. I wonder if that platfom can handle a 28" or larger drum ? ...ralph...I would like to know what you think of it. How sturdy is it ?
This same platform is sold under different names. Here is what a former employee at Title said of it:
We've got one of those platforms up in our new Fight Store along with a few others. That is the most solid by far. No need for one ounce of weight on top of that platform. Rebounding was ridiculous compared my my adjustable Everlast platform. I had trouble keeping up.
Platform is very sturdy, however, the construction and age of the studs that support the unit play a major role. Notice I distributed the weight among four studs with cross beam support and the valor unit is not directly attached to the wall. I created the support base separately and attached the unit in advance prior to securing with 4" lagging bolts. Again, the helm/wheel for the worm drive would have been much better in traditional iron akin to the wooden vice helms. The stock swivel is horrible.
Nice, I like that cleto thai bag, and I sure would like to get one of those valor platforms but because it's chrome plated l think it would rust up because l live just blocks from the ocean. I agree in regards to the stanchions being chrome plated, one chipped and cut my finger, still sturdy and commensurate with $300 price range. If the stanchions and worm drive wheel were stainless steel, this system would double in price. I plan to replace everything with stainless steel in the future, cannibalizing steel worm drives/helms from my woodworking vices and special ordering the stanchion supports on my next deployment.
Thanks Speedbag, it's great to arrive home, park the scoot, and speedbag to my hearts content on a solid platform.
I just have to train between 0700-2000, as a professional courtesy, apparently the vertical drum swivel clanks loudly and the steady drumming resonates throughout the cul de sac.
I'm still adding an uppercut bag made by Cleto Reyes (on order), DVD/LCD combo w/apple air mode, peg board to hang boxing gear, and framed imagery of the worlds greatest boxers (preferably speedbag'n).
