    Early Ringside Speed Bag Stand

This is a mid 1980's Ringside speed bag stand. Modified with a 30" drum, and a double end wall bracket. I built a platform to fasten it to and used ratchet straps to stabilize it, along with three 50 lb rocks.

Actually I do have an Everlast from the early 80's that I rotate out. The swivels base is the same size and thread size. I just happened to have this particular Ringside one on the board when I took the photo.

Funny how alot of these different brand two piece swivels will cross over, I had Moosehead-Whitely and other brands of the ball-cups that would thread into my everlast new york base plate

Leads one to assume that there was some kind of an agreement between the makers about standardizing mounting flanges. Or they just took one to the shop that made theirs and said "copy this."
