a manhole cover seems a bit overkill. its a tiny little speed bag, not a city bus. How about some nice aluminum plate, plasma cut circular, bevel edge. clear coated or not. all weather. would not have to be that thick, or that heavy.

i also designed a different style of platform using 30mm thick quartz slab that's ideal for outdoor use I'll post a picture of that one too ,
