Very cool. The price is manage-able. I'm in the market for a new bag. Still mulling over the possibility of ordering a bag from the Company in Texas (near aad03's neck of the woods).

But, looking at the photo of this Kanagroo skin bag, the stitching concerns me... I wonder if it holds its shape...

An Everlast Kangaroo hopped in today from Combat Sports via FedEx. It is nearly identical in size to the Everlast 6x4 many people liked, but it weighs less. My scale says 5.5oz for the 8"x5" 'roo, and 7oz for the Everlast 6"x4". My kangaroo looked sat upon, it was so lopsided at first, but after an hour of being inflated and punched it is pretty symmetrical now. Rebounds nicely, has it's own unique sound.

Will want to know Skunk's opinion about this bag. And yours. My guess is if the leather holds up better than the Everlast 6x4, this will be a nice bag to add to your arsenal.

Wow, sounds like the perfect size, at least for me. In my opinion the regular 6x4 black and gold is heavy for it's size. How's the quality of the leather? Is it noticeably different than cowhide?

On a side note, you gotta love the scientific (not) measuring process used. Somehow a 6x4 and and 8x5 from the same company are damn near the same dimensions! LOL

I just ordered the 9x6 Kangaroo-hide bag... I'm crossing my fingers it arrives tomorrow morning before I have to leave for work. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I loved the Jim Bradley bags (that were at SB 2010, courtesy of deano), especially the kangaroo one. (Except for the bright orange color... it clashes with my wardrobe. ) My opinion on the color orange: should only be warn by roadway workers and Denver Bronco football fans.

The leather is not noticeably different in appearance. Hope those were real kangaroos they stitched back together. And hope it holds up better than the 6x4 which gets all haggard looking after a while.

Mine were haggard 5 days later I think. I also busted one, the seams let loose

2 different sources have told me the same thing ,and that is the roo hide is 2
times more durable than cow and it bounces better

I recall back in the mid 1980's Ringside was using 'roo hide for their speed and double end bags.

And Kangaroo's are tougher than cows all the way around. A Kangaroo could kick a cows rawhide anytime in a boxing match.

Then again cowhide may make the best bags, especially for punch drumming because cows have an uncommon ability to improvise rhythm. Actually, they can really get with it when they are in the moood.

the kangaroo bag is pretty good. i got the small 8x5. Its very light but has a good bounce.
