Ball hook too much for a beginner

Nah SBSH i would never desert the u bolt brotherhood!! i have just set up a second platform and got a plastic ballhook from Germany.. but a very kind forum member is going to send me a metal ballhook from the US! so i will have the best of both worlds.

Thanks, TJ! Yeah, I'm not giving up. I just had to try something different. Since I've gone back to the u-bolt, I've noticed that my timing has definitely improved since I last was using it. That gives me hope that when I regraduate to the ball hook, that I will experience an equivilent improvement compared to when I 'stepped down' to the u-bolt. Apologies to all die-hard u-bolters out there!

my everlast set came with the 1 on the left.(but it screws into a plastic ball)


It was to noisey for my house since then i changed to a self made rope and now its super quiet(i also put some sponge behind the ball/swivel point) to stop it from making that knokcing noise against the wood)

The U bolt adds to your mystique. Like Sinatra, you can say you did it your way.

From my speed baggin' "DAY 1", in 1972, MANY years before the U-Bolt.

I guess I can say "I did it my way" also. You gotta play with the swivel you got and Many baggers have done it without any specific swivel.
