Hi yes the SKD is similar as the Paffen a classic adjustable platform design but at half the price, the Speed King Deluxe has an oak end of grain butchers style block platform which is smaller at 620mm x 100mm (max ball 12") we also offer the same unit with a 720mm x 100mm platform, the choices are oak, walnut, beech. The rigidity of the frame and high density of the platform makes the SKD probably the best speed ball platform on this side of the Atlantic
