O.K., I'm going to try again...because it's the American thing to do (eBay)...Please, if any of you plan on bidding, let me know and I'll drop out so we don't run the price up.

(this is against my better judgement, but what the hell, you only live once, that we know of)

Zaza, you may have objections to doing this but seriously, you need to register on a sniping program. It's the old if you can't lick em, join em, type thing. You can use this one 3 times a week without a charge. You don't have to have your computer on for it to work. If you decide to use it, you can up your bid or cancel it before the auction is over. It will bid for you during the last 10 seconds or so of the auction. But do your research on what you are bidding on and make up your mind before hand the absolute highest bid you will go and then put it in. keep in mind others have done the same thing and they may have put in an absolute HIGHER bid that will also go in during the last few seconds. Some people pay for a sniping program and it will bid during the last 3 or 4 seconds. So again it's imperative to think about how high you will go. There's no second chances. Here's the link.

The site keeps you out of bidding wars. You may still lose, but you would have lost anyway in those cases.

You know... those sniping people need to have your username & password...and that stuff is connected to your credit card and bank account...I'm just not giving that information out.

So...Fedora, if you want in let me know and I'll back off. It's not like I NEED another swivel. I enjoy baggin', not switching swivels out all the time.

I look forward to seeing that other swivel (that you stole from me on eBay! ).

If you want to bid on this one, let me know and I'll back out.

They need your login to eBay to bid. I've used them for over 10 years without a problem. Why would you trust anyone online by that rationale ?

No, I'm not interested in it. I have around 9 swivels, one just like this one and I don't need anymore. Since I got my "kinky" Deville I don't switch them out anymore.
I'm just trying to be helpful. I've used hammersnipe for a long time without any issues, but it's what ever your comfort level will allow. But like it or hate it, sniping is what happens on most sales. I'll never forget the first time it happened to me when I was new on ebay. Seconds left to go on the sale and I thought nobody else was interested and I had it in the bag. Then "wham" I got sniped and lost. Bidding high early only drives up the cost and gives people a chance to reconsider how much they are willing to pay. Besides, with a sniping program you can put in your bid and go on vacation and it will bid for you. I still have friends who sit there by the computer and watch the seconds tick off so they can bid in the last minute or so themselves. Why bother, let the program do it and you can come back later and see if you won.

There used to be desktop software that snipes, and for all I know there is an app that does the same. But these too will need your login.

I've wanted a good removable Whitely (or a good removable ELast) for a long time. If no one needs it, I'd like to bid reasonably. Otherwise, I'm going to have to trek to Sears and buy a lathe and some other cool tools that I've always wanted. That actually sounds like a lot of fun...

I guess on ebay using "snipes" is the way to go, but it didn't work out too well for Wesley.

This looks like a mildly-worn swivel that should clean-up nicely, but the ball looks loose between the inner bearing and the outer housing (no jump??). I'd like a short swivel arc for my small indoor drum. Before I bid again, are there any opinions on this swivel? Thanks! I'd like to make a little more time for BH punching again now that I understand it better.

It looks to be in pretty good shape, and should clean up with a minimum amount of effort. Personally I wouldn't get into a bidding war over it, as IMHO the current bid ($39.00) is close to the limit I would spend on it. Like I've said, the first one shows up and the seller says "rare" and inside of a couple of weeks a half dozen or so of them show up. How many Whitely No Jumps have shown up on eBay in the past month or two, six, or eight so far? I wager more will surface soon.

I bought 2 of these and returned them without even using them. I didnt get a full refund either!! They off set the s hook the wrong way, I guess aparently in my opinion. Not sure if they fixed the problem. Even if was off set the right way, it still seemed a bit flimsy. They didnt agree with me and said the angle is suppose to be like that. The way they have it designed, the bag falls off easier and the bag doesnt even sit flat.

I think someone told the manufacturer to put a 45 degree bend in the S hook, but they bent the wrong piece, the wrong way.

I can't believe they sold thousands with no complaints but mine!!!!!

                              Here thier response..

                              "Anthony,
The hook is suppose to be bent and at that angle. The reason the hook is bent is to keep the bag from coming off.We have sold thousands of these units, and haven't had any come back because of defects. Thanks John.800-235-8341.
