Wow. Looks like it's in pristine condition. Nice. Good luck to you zaza.

That swivel looked familiar to me so I did a little digging in the forum and found the thread I was looking for. This thread is before you came onboard, zaza. You might find the photos interesting:

I was around for that post... posted on the first page. This isn't the same as in the current eBay auction...although I'd love the old one better!

Whitely "No Jump" swivels had been in production in various forms for about fifty years. The early ones were like the Nichols patent swivels, while the later versions (like the one in the current eBay listing) date back to the late 1940's until the the late 1970's early 1980's. When AMF started diversifying things went down hill in a hurry and the general sporting goods lines (Whitely and Voit) production was halted. Yes, the ball is larger than the ones in Everlast and TufWear swivels, and I think (but not positive, never had the opportunity to check) that they couldn't be interchanged with the latter two bases.

AMF also tried their best to ruin Harley Davidson, what was that company thinking?

By the way Dutchman, may I call you Mr. Encyclopedia?

I have never seen a question on speed bag, including equipment history or baggers of the past, the Dutchman or Paranday have not found the answer to.

Are these guys good or what!...

I stumble upon things. Dutchman has this stuff memorized. There's a difference.

Me too. The difference is, you must really know where to look.

That's a bit ridiculous, not to mention that I live about twenty minutes drive from there.
