OK, here’s the ‘before’ platform:
And the after.....
This project turned out great. I'm really surprised how much quieter the new drum is. I was expecting a change in sound but it was far more dramatic than I expected and I really didn’t think it would be much quieter. The rebound of the bag is a fair bit faster so it took a bit to get used to that but all good now.

That is pretty. I like how the recessed mounting holes are inside the bounce area.
Now all you need is a crane mechanism to help you adjust the height. 45lbs, wow!
