The advantages to a ball hook over a U-bolt is that after a while you want to start doing different combo's. The ball hook gives you more flexibility on doing a wider range of movements.

Yes, I have several. It's very good and a plus is that it is quiet. It's poly base eliminates a lot of the clacking you get from a metal one. However some people like that sound, but it can be annoying to other household members and neighbors. It's a very good swivel.

Yes... I second everything Fedora said! I have a bunch of both the powermill Evil's and Deville's, both are great swivels. If you're just moving over to the ball hook, give yourself a break because it can take a little time to get used to... but once you do, there's no going back! Enjoy.
