sure i do. I have a couple of platforms, I use a freestanding older everlast unit.
( I rent, so I cannot mount this heavy platform on my basement. )
Then finish it, wrap it up & store it away until you have a place for it.... you'll probably never see another one of these around in a few years. (...and think how much more it will be worth then!)
Almost finished with my NMC platform. All paint is complete, all new hardware added, the adjustment wheel is securely attached.
The only thing left to do is to attach the HUGE 36” Diam, 1 1/12” thick drum. ( it weighs 110 pound all by itself. )
I know it sure does not look like it, but it is a lot of work to get here, including un-sticking the frozen gears and stuck screw shaft and securing the adjustment wheel.
All done now, almost completed. Works nice and smooth now, just like it is supposed to.
Here is the photobucket link with all of the pics.
here is the drum -
Here are pics of the drum. Original. I did not refinish the wooden drum at all, it has a beautiful patina on it. 110 pounds (!), 36" diameter and 3 1/2 inches thick. beautiful old hardwoods. going to attach. Looks worn but works just fine.
anyone seriously interested, please contact me , it is going up on ebay and some other sites soon.
