Thank You AK.
Yeah that would be a fun tune to punch to. I haven't tried yet. It sounds like a real burner.
For anyone that isn't familiar with this piece of music and wants to try this tune out: Vivaldi - "The Four Seasons" this is just a tiny excerpt.

Do you have to router out a hole for the non flush mount?
Has anyone tried the non flush mount swivel mounted on a flush surface without a routered hole, and if so, did it work OK. I am only asking because I do not have a router and looking forward to getting a Deville Swivel ASAP.
Excellent video & music choice too !Randolph Leslie Smith

Hi Randolph.
The Deville A-51 works beautifully mounted directly to any flat surface board.
I'm pretty sure that that's the way most A-51 owners have their swivels mounted.
Flat surface mounting is the way i use the A-51 most of the time. Putting the A-51 into the D-21's routed drum is something that i had done for the first time just a few days ago.
I know that a quite few people have made Videos of the A-51 being used with a flat surface mount type installation, but here's a video that i made a while ago that gives a close up look (and listen) at just that.

Yes it works fine just attaching it to a flush board. Holes should line up with any other swivel base.Originally posted by Randolph View PostIt looks like both swivels require a routered hole for best results.

Yep. The deville swivel is non-discriminatory and accepts flat or sunken surfaces, no problem.
Cecil B Deville, and the Barber of Deville would be very proud.

WOW, nice video, those swivels look & SOUND (quiet) GREAT!
I didn't know Everlast made a swivel like this; and it seemed the tape made it even quieter, but that Deville seems to be as good as anyone could ever hope for and I cannot wait to get one!
Since the Devilles only live about 40 miles away, my wife and I are hoping to fulfill the Devilles invitation to travel over to meet them, have some home made pizza, do some punching & seeing the entire "Deville Product Line" one day this summer.Randolph Leslie Smith

Yes, the invitation still stands, Randolph. Now, if the weather here in western Washington will just cooperate. It's no fun to go for a putt on the Harleys in the rain. (Soggy pizza too.) I can't wait to show off our swivels in person. I think you might like the flush-mounted swivel...Originally posted by Randolph View PostWOW, nice video, those swivels look & SOUND (quiet) GREAT!
