Hi Roge. I'm gonna get technical on ya here. When performing "normal" fist rolling, The fists "naturally" go in opposites direction in the front or back of the bag. Meaning, when you do a "normal" Front Fist Roll (F-Roll) [fist-over-fist], and then do a "normal" Reverse Fist Roll (R-Roll) [fist-over-fist], the fists are "naturally" rolling in opposite directions. So, to answer your question, doing a "normal Reverse Fist Roll (R-Roll)" is actually doing a "reverse forward roll on the back of the bag". To prove it, try this. Extend your arms out like they are behind the bag, Do a very slow Reverse Fist Roll (R-Roll). Just do it very slowly. Now, keep that same movement and bring bend your elbows, bring the fists (still rolling like a R-Roll), up close to your chin like they are in front of the bag. If you do this right you will notice that you are actually doing a "Reverse-Direction Front Fist Roll (F-Roll)" with "the next punch" coming from under the other fist, not over the top of it. So this "reverse direction F-Roll" is actually the movement you use behind the bag for a R-Roll, only difference is, when you do this behind the bag the "next punch" will come from over the top of the last fist.Originally posted by rehamco1 View PostHi everybody thank you all for the kind remarks still doing my time under the board with the 4 way elbows
anyone doing a reverse forward roll from the back of the bag??
just wondering is there a video out there regards roge
Now you can do this in Reverse. Do a very slow "normal" F-Roll (fist-over-fist) close up under your chin. Keep that very same motion going and extend your arms out like they are now behind the bag. Keeping that same motion, now you will be doing "a reverse direction R-Roll" with the next punch coming from under the last fist moving "up" in the bag belly, not downward. This is the harder of the two. There are a few video's of this being done somewhere by G-Town and a few others for it was a topic on here a few months ago.
But, YOU can do it!
