People normally stay at the Best Western

Both are close to Real Gymm, not really walking distance. The road layout is pretty screwed up in that area. Lots of one way roads and no left turns. Many streets have cloverleaf turnarounds to go back the other way.

I've stayed at both also. The first year I stayed at the Holiday Inn. It's the Party Place. I think they have a cocktail lounge or something and sometimes it gets a little noisy on the weekend with music and dancing and drinking. And, I think there's a pool. But, if one is planning a trip to the event, you won't be hanging at the motel except to sleep and shower.

The Best Western is across the highway, on the same side of the road as the town of Keyport, where the Real Gymm is. The two motels are actually in the town of Hazlett, NJ. You could walk to the gym from the motel, but it would probably take 20 minutes. And that's 20 minutes that can be better spent at the gym.

The gym owner, Donnie Blanks is a great host and opens his gym to us speed bag freaks and we come and go throughout the day and evening. Lots and lots of socializing and just hangin' and baggin'.

I'm pretty sure the Keyport police dept has a few "speed bagger" faces on their wall for violations in the past. We've been busted every year between 2-3am for noise violations.
