    Agreed!

But with "Art of the Bag" we also owe a-lot to Joe Saba AKA forum member ZAZA, who made the movie whom without Alan could not have made said movie. I have now confused the hell out of myself but I think I got it right.

Maybe that's a direction that should be considered for the t-shirt, all of those who have given so much to the sport.

Remembering the past few years.... in the first 3 or 4 years of the Gathering there was a legitimate "sign up, pay fee" system. People that signed in and paid the daily or "total event" fee (Records were kept- mostly by Tim and his wife)... got a shirt that was printed and paid for by Donny, owner of Real Gymm. I don't know how "strict" the policy was for the shirt distribution, but to my recollection it was created and done by Donny, with the real Gymm logo. Part of "the fee" always went to Donny.

For the "Middle years" of the gathering the official "attendee registration with required fee" died by a "no one responsible" death and people came and went as they wanted. The shirts got lean as the cost for such was no longer spoken about. Corporate sponsors disappeared. For a few years several baggers showed up carrying their own shirts, giving some out, but never enough for everyone. I will assume the total cost of creating, ordering, paying for and delivering shirts will be covered by "Someone", most likely to the tune of $500 to $700 dollars. WHO is going to pay that..... And how will reimbursement to that individual be handled? Problem is, there has not been any solid "event budget" or "financial oversight" of this event in years. That is the reality of the situation. We showed up, We bagged, We left. The last few years we "paid" Donny for the use of Real Gymm, and his many personal expenses for hosting ( the man buys two or more "group" meals, sometimes for 10+ people out of his own pocket ) by asking around for people to "Pitch In", with maybe 1 in 3 attendees "pitching". Many of the baggers are financially strapped, can't afford rooms and some crashing on the gym floor or hanging out in others rooms. We don't turn anybody away, but there are no deep pockets among "the regulars" and lots of folks that "say" they are coming don't show up. Attendance is very unpredictable. It's awesome to have Tim back to help re-organize the event, at least with some structure and perhaps financial oversight. He is correct in the idea of trying to have a bunch of "Planned events" on schedule never really worked out, but the "speed demon" time trial were always a big hit. They were organized by John Reynolds, and he has not been back in that last few years. I have not heard a word from him in a while and he discontinued making the Speed Demon digital counter.

but the fact remains someone needs to front the $500 to $700 for Shirts.

I'm going to suppose that Volunteers for pre-event financial help will gladly be accepted.

Thanks for the plug Tim! There are a few different AOTB SWAG items up now if anyone is interested: http://www.ebay.com/usr/aotbswag
I like the idea of the T-Shirt, but there is a large upfront cost involved. The only reason I’m making stuff is I took up screen printing over the 2020 quarantine as a new hobby! That & speedbagging is all that kept me sane(ish). Even offering a ‘print on demand’ service incurs upfront costs, then there’s shipping.
