  • Everlast plastic swivel design change.

    Hey all,

I was expecting to receive one of these today(1st pic) but the one I received is completely different (2nd pic) to what was advertised and what I'm sure you are all familiar to seeing...

    .

This is what I actually received. It has a Carabiner clip (snaphook) as opposed to an S-hook and the base is different.

I want to return it simply because it's not as described/shown on Amazon, but does that style clip make much difference to the action of the swivel?

Should I keep it, or ask for a refund/replacement (if they have the S-hook ones still of course)?

Update: Spoke to Amazon rep, he sent out a replacement as I should have got the S swivel version. Hopefully, if they are different and don't get sent the same again, I can decide between the 2 or even keep both.

Pretty much either one of them. The carbiner version was the last variation. As I recall there were three versions of the plastic swivel that Everlast made prior to dropping it favor of a U bolt design.

The s-hook style is still available directly from Everlast.com. It is not listed on the website, but if you call them up and ask for Part#4440U you can get them for $5.00 plus $6.95 shipping. I would get 4 of them since I am pretty sure the $6.95 covers shipping for all. (Double check the shipping part if you do order)

As a joke and friendly banter when I called to order one of these swivels, I asked what else they still were selling that is not on the website. Sorry to say they did not have any 4200 Kangaroo bags.

FYI, in case anyone is wondering, this still works - I just called Everlast and ordered two of them - still 5 bucks each and $6.95 shipping. Thanks jaja!

                      Package arrived

I might add I don't see any change i the design. the steel shank unscrewed really easily from the ball, so I can either superglue it back in ...OR..chunk the plastic ball and replace it with a steel ball and eye-hook. (probably the latter)

Just called to order two just to keep around but they don't ship outside the main 48. I swear, might as well live on Mars sometimes.
