    Doing it with eyes closed

Been back lurking again and thoroughly enjoying myself.

After having the a couple of rounds of the crud, I sadly fell out of practice and the habit of practicing. Thankfully it didn't take long to realize something was missing in my life; my speedbags! Getting back in the groove felt both great and tedious at first. To break it some, one night I decided to try hitting with my eyes closed. Wasn't exactly easy, but drastically helped me feel the movements.

Wondering if anyone else does it with their eyes closed?

I will hit with eyes closed every now & again, I find it really makes to think about the tempo...and the "Zen" of the bag. I also really makes me appreciate my vision (as poor as it is getting these days).

So... you like to work your bags in the moonlight do ya'?

Don't buy your speed bag from the same place you buy your tackle box.

Yep, here's a nice punch drumming tune for that.. (medium speed basic punching works great).
