    Hello from a newbie

    Hi All,

It is hard for the first post! Hope I don't bore you too much.

First time visit this forum was 7 years ago, and bought a ringside large bag about 5 years ago. Then everything is on hold till about 2 months ago. Finally I set it up in my basement (still temporary location till my home gym project done) early Dec, started hitting the bag, regretted right way for not starting earlier. Now I have to punch the bag almost every day for the past month or two – simply the best for stress management.

I have 3 speed bags now – ringside large bought many years ago, rival small and extra small bought in Boxing Day (very Canadian) with 20% discount can’t resist. Bought Allan’s excellent speed bag bible from Amazon in Kindle format like all my other books, still working/learning the basic 7 techniques, the learning curve is steep and I am not in any hurry anyway. My platform is 2 - 36”X30”X 1 1/4” (THK) MDF with Ms. Dee’s Swivel (excellent piece and excellent customer service) supported on a wall mounted spare tire rack with a bag of 40lbs wood pellets added on top – solid no vibration at all. Thinking about making it adjustable in the future.

Thanks everyone and have a great weekend,

              I'm new here also

Haven'y trained since I was 19 and in the Air Force. In 1976 we had TV room with bad reception, pool table and gym. No these young guys have laptops and iphones so a lot less training.
              Thanks for the great forum.
