    New platform

Just finished a new platform. Made the frame from angle iron from the drops room at Alro steel (left over pieces they sell by the pound), came to less than $10.

I was at Lowe's, and saw a 2' round X 1 1/16" ready to stain spruce, for $6.15, looks like its for making table tops, but don't know.

Its kinda light, so I bought some 3/4" particle board $4.95, and used a jigsaw to cut a round backer. I glued and screwed it together. It has nice weight now.

Then I put about eight coats of polyurethane on it to harden.

I think it came out pretty good. Its adjustable as you can see with holes in the angle to go up or down. I'll probably cut the angle that is sticking out, I wasn't sure how close to the wall I wanted to go.

I have around $25 in it. I added a Evil swivel, and a NOS Ringside bag from RP65.

    Ken

Nice job! looks real strong. You may want to consider cutting the angle iron that extends beyond the leading edge of the platform.

Yeah, but he's got room for a bigger drum this way. You never know when you might want to go old school...

              Nice work

Very nice. Do you get a lot of vibration on the board?

Does anyone have plans, videos or pics for the Deville concrete platform.

I am new to speed bagging and the forum. I recently received an Evil Swivel and it is awesome. Thanks Ryan!

                Thanks for the comments.
There isn't any vibration, its a cement block wall that the angles are anchored to with Red Heads.

Great home design and setup. A "how to" for a locally made home made set up like that would be nice to have available.
