Just to clarify, the 2 in 1 pump I was talking about, pictured below, was from Amazon. It a hand pump and also an airgauge, in all in one. Balaz sells the airguage and pocket pump as seperate components
I agree about the lazer bag. This is best made bag I've seen. It also appears that this bag will last a very, very long time.
Also I noticed very specific instructions provided when inflating the Balaz Lazer bag. To inflat to 2 psi, wait 15 min and then roll around a hard surface, then inflat to 6psi, then DEflate to 5 psi. My question is: Do you think this is a good guidline to follow for all speedbags. (well maybe not to 6psi) but as a general guidline? Or are these instructions specifically because the bag has no bladder?
My Balazs 8 X 11-large arrived along with my pocket pump with pressure gauge. I followed instructions, however, I cannot pump the speed bag beyond 3 PSI. It seems solid to the touch and covering is taught. I did notice air escaping from my pocket pump, maybe it's due to a faulty pump?
I got the same one. First one that arrived, the pressure gauge didn't work. They sent a replacement, and that one is working just fine. Yeah, I like the 2 in 1 feature, of being able to add air, and seeing the pressure as it increases at the same time.
I think the pressure gauge isn't working as well, it's not exceeding 3 PSI. I still like the pump, but I'm a bit OCD and will follow your lead.
...i bet your right and the pressure gauge isn't working right. did you send it back ? and how do you like that size bag, do you have any others that are that size ?...ralph
Already, established exchange with Amazon, new one enroute, defective will be mailed tomorrow. I started the speed bag bible training on a much smaller Loene bag, this made more challenging, however, I want to follow the recommended sized, in addition to owning the entire Balazs speed bag spectrum for strength/speed. I'm hanging it tomorrow and continuing my regiment.

That pump leakage happens to me on just about every pump I've ever owned. Especially when the bag is near full. I pretty much ignore it. As long as the bag doesn't leak, you're good to go.

Good to hear. If you need any help on the "interpeting" any of the information, or you get "stuck", just let me know. And remember, it's not a race. As you work through the practice combinations try to understand how and why they work. The more you know, the more you CAN do on the bag. Don't fret over what you cannot do right now, just enjoy what you can.the first few chapters are preparing you for take off...
