Can't help you with existing bags. Wish retailers would exercise some old fashioned quality control.

If you buy bags from member RP65, he'll inflate and inspect each bag before shipping. This level of service is unheard of for most other retailers. See his listing here,

Ask anyone about the bags he sells. Think you'll like them.

I have found two things that work.

        1) Punch them into shape. Sometimes it takes a while...

        2) Put them in a group of perfectly shaped bags and let peer pressure do the rest.

HAHA. If the misshapen bag, or bags don't shape up, they'll be shipped out. ostracized from the group.
          good one AK.

I have one bag that's a bit lopsided, at first it bothered me, i even thought of sending it back. But It doesn't effect the performance at all. now i'm glad i didn't. It's one of my favs.

I found that with many bags over the years. A slight misshape did not effect performance and gives the bag a bit of personality. My favorite of all time EVerlast 4200 9x6 was a bit pudgy on one side, and that is where the final bubble that was to be it's undoing arose. Alas, it died a horrible SSSssssss-ing death many years ago, but thankfully it was quick when it happened.

You put it out of its misery with your pistol, did you? You show great compassion, master.

                "horrible SSSssssss-ing death" HAHAHAHA.

Anyway... you, and that beautiful bag had a long, and fruitful life together.
And you'll always have the memories. haha

I know i would be inconsolable if one of my fav bags were destroyed, or croaked.

I've not yet received a bag so lopsided it didn't work. Aesthetically they are ugly, but they work fine... and believe me, I have some lopsided bags. I've never sent any back.

The solution for a lopsided bag ? ... MORE PRACTICE !

That said, if I dropped $40 , $50 or whatever on a bag, you ought to receive something you feel is decent.
