Durahide is a faux leather, and personally I haven't heard anything good about any of the bags made with it. It's an inexpensive material so much so that Big Five Sporting Goods has quit stocking replacement bladders. The retail difference in price is under ten dollars between a new Durahide bag and a new bladder. Their attitude is if you loose a bladder in one of these bags, just buy a new one. Thus they are ignoring the people that still have and use the old school real leather bags that are out there. That's okay, my business will go to Ringside and Title from now on.

The Title bladder I got was much thicker then the original Ringside NOS bladder and it brought new life to the bag. My Ringside NOS 6x9 is by far the fastest and lightest bag in my inventory. Zaza has a great pictorial "how to" essay on the site on changing bladders if you have questions on the process. It's not to difficult. (edit... or you can see post above mine... pays to look before you post -- Zaza also had MAD video skills!)

Over the past 2 months I added a Fighting Sports XS (the white bag) which I totally dig, but my FAVORITE by far is my Lonsdale Original Peanut bag from the UK (HUGE thanks to Mrs Mitts for the assistance!) I hit the peanut everyday! LOVE IT!
A good friend of mine in Florida uses Ringside bags in a high use area (YMCA). He says people constanly overinflate the bags which leads to bladder (or valve) failure. When a bladder breaks he puts a bladder of the next size up in his bags. For instance, in the small bag he puts a mid size or large bladder in after the original breaks. He says it extends the life of the bags for the next (larger) bladder rarely if ever breaks.

I've never put an oversized bladder in a bag myself so I can't attest to it's efficiency, however my thought would be that if it's a bit overinflated it would stress the bag leather, risking the seams pop or rip, rather than bladder failure.

This thread has been silent for a while. Anyone count their bags lately?

I count 26 bags. A Balazs Lazer 5x8 seems like a reasonable next purchase. It should out-kangaroo the Everlast kangaroo. Maybe a Bradley or two then I'm done.
