    Everlast Plastic Ball Hook Swivs?

Does anyone know what's up with them?
They are not mentioned in the Title or Everlast catalog. They don't come with any board. And I haven't seen them in stores?
They have this real cheesy looking metal S hook swiv for 10.00 that look like it's pre-industrial revolution or something...

Swivs are a very key part to speed baggin'... and the U bolt and Chain link are not the same when it comes to total fluidity with advanced baggin...

Anyhow... since I've had stuff stolen twice in the past year, (go figure... I bet I am the only speed bagger that can make that claim! haha...) I realized I only have a couple of those. I prefer the metal ball hook but they aren't made anymore...

    Thanks for any info...

Oh... what's that??? Did you hear that.....??????
It's my speed bag callin'..... gotta go ....
    HAHa

I don't know what's up with everlast I use the screw in base with chain link and ball hook and they stopped making them too. I have been looking on ebay, amazon and craigs list for them. I just made a U Bolt out of a old chainlink and it seems to be working pretty good.

Maybe we should ask Skunk he is the Everlast Insider
Inquireing minds want to know hehehe

Just order one of Jumpcannon's Evil Swivels and never worry about what Everlast is doing with their swivels again!

that only solves the problem for the ballhook issue, some of us use different swivels for different workouts, wish i could add a powermill to a everlast base

Really? How could an Everlast swivel base be used with, or improve, the powermill? How would you do this. ?

Cut the 20 tpi with the diam of the screw in part and screw it in instead of the everlast ball hook. I asked jumpcannon about it but it was too much work and wouldn't be cost effective so I'll stick with my setups. Did make a U Bolt out of a old chainlink housing which turned out pretty good and they all screw into my base.

I would make you one in a heartbeat but i dont have any thread cutting tooling for my lathe yet since i havent had a need to chase any threads yet (i would need to make a grooving tool also to relieve the threads). I just would hate to drop the cash for tooling to only use once. But if i had the right diameter steel instead of turning a large 3 1/2" piece down to 2" and the tooling i would make ya one no problem. Sorry again bro! But i get where your coming from....easier to thread on and off to an everlast base than having to unscrew the whole swiv from the board.

I don't know if this will help TBD but i use bolts with wing-nuts to attach my swivels! you can change a whole swivel in seconds!

how about if I sent you the piece the ballhook goes into and you would just have to make the ball and true up the socket. would that work.

Actually now that you mentioned it i got an extra centerpiece that threads into the everlast base. Let me take a look at it and see if i cant do something with it for ya. I will be finished with the swivels i am currently working on within a day or two. Then i can break down my setup and do some experimenting for you. If the one i have is not a winner then i can machine the one you send me. Do me a quick favor though. Look inside the bore where the ball seats and tell me if its rounded or if its at an angle. Cause the one i have is a raduis and i am wondering if someone made it themselves or if thats the way the old everlast swivels were made. Thanks!

Exactly! Wing nuts to the rescue!, with washers underneath to save the drum wood. Swivels changed in couple of minutes or less.

I'm not exactly sure what your asking but on all the Everlast ballhooks I have (more than two or three..) they all have a slightly beveled (angled) inside surface where the ball sits. You can see it on the outside better than the inside. I posted a pic below.

let me know if you need me to send one to you for a model.
