pictures of everlast u-bolt swivel model 4444

Here are some pics of the everlast swivel i bought from Dicks sports for $19.99. The name of this swivel on the package is the everlast pro heavy-duty swivel (the model #4444 was also on the package), which happens to be what everlast.com calls the u-bolt on their webpage. However, their webpage has the item# as evps 3 - which probably means that the webpage swivel is not the same as the 4444 swivel.

Checkout this Fighting Sports swivel. Check out the price and the similarity to the everlast 4444. Does anyone think that this $40 swivel is any different than the $20 everlast 4444 swivel?

The only thing different that I can see is the length/height of the collar (part from the base plate to the swivel or u-bolt).

I believe this is also the model that is coming with all the adjustable platforms now.

Yes, we did give away 2 if memory serves. We also had Title U-Bolts. I'm not sure who ended up with them.

No, bigger and beefier. Noticeably so. I don't know what part no. the Title swivels were.

That's what came with my everlast platform (Purchased in Dec. '09).
I'm going to modify a plastic ball to fit into this housing (Like the one Skunk brought to S.B. 2010).

The everlast 4444 compared to the plastic ballhook and the everlast chainlink. The 4444 is a pretty good size swivel, so those Title u-bolts must have been monsters.

Also, yesterday I placed an order with ringside for the super swivel and the mexican-style swivel. I am really curious about the super swivel - so many good things have been said about it and I want to see for myself. Also, I ordered the mexican-style swivel because it has what looks to be a much smaller u-bar than the super swivel u bar and the everlast 4444 u bar.. It seems to me that a smaller u-bar (lighter) will enhance the speed. I think the problem with lighter bags on the 4444 is that the heavy u bar is slowing down the bag. I'll post picks when these swivels arrive.

Of the three swivels in the picture, the chainlink is without a doubt the fastest, everthing else being equal (same size bag, same punching force, etc). I use bolts to attach my swivels to the board and so I regularly rotate the swivels. I think it's good to have experience with all the types of swivels - it enhances the speed bag experience, IMO. Also, I know the general consensus is that the ballhook is the best for "bible style" bagging, but what I have noticed is that if you use a larger bag on the chainlink (9x6 or 10x7) then there is not much of a difference between the chainlink and the ballhook in terms of hitting bible style. Smaller bags on the chainlink move so damn fast and thus it is harder to hit it right on target if you are doing bible style. Lastly, I think the u-bolt provides the least fluid motion of the three types. So in terms of preference, if you are a bible stylist bagger, the u-bolt should be last, the chainlink second and the ballhook first. But all this is just my opinion.

Well, on an impulse I got the u-bolt when I was waiting for my tire to get look at last night. I wanted it for my soccer bag (soccer ball in a net ala spdyTommyT; I have both ). The only thing is I wish the U portion was shorter.

Oh, and I got the last 5 S-hook ball hooks in the store @ $5 each. Some of them looked like they were from an old run.

Overcoming my own large bias on this subject, I would agree and say that is my opinion Also.

I got one of the Everlast #4444 swivels on the second days drawing. I think Michael from Arlington VA got one of the other type on the first day. They looked simalar although I noticed that the Title one rattled in the top part, don't know how that would affect the action. I made a silly video featuring mine, will have to post after reading up on the forums thread on posting.
