Hi guys, I've been lurking on here for a few months and finally decided to start an account
I've boxed on and off through the years, but somehow, I've never touched the speed bag at all. I've been looking at picking up some gear for training in the mornings in my garage and I thought a speed bag would be great... and when I finally get decent at it, I'll be confident enough to do it at the gym without feeling like a goof.
So, I would want something that would stand up to everyday use for a couple years at least... and one that I wouldn't feel like I've 'outgrown' after a few months. I've also got housemates and I know they'd want to smack it around now and then so I think an adjustable one would be a good idea in this case. Spent a couple hours reading through old forum posts and google searches and came across the Everlast Elite Adjustable Platform for $96 from Walmart and Amazon.com
This one:

Would that fit the bill, or is there another wall mount platform for around the same price I should look at?
As far as a bag to start with, I was thinking of getting the Title Classic 6x9:

I understand a 7x10 is supposed to be easier to learn with, but I'm fairly stubborn so I would think I'd gradually figure things out(plus its only $20)... or should I just buckle down and get the Title 7x10? Any thoughts?
