    new mount

My first speed bag was mounted on a heavy bag stand opposite the heavy bag.

A while ago I picked up a used wall mount off of face book market place. The seller mostly wanted it gone so it was almost free. And only a short distance from my home. I put up 1/2" OSB board on the studs on my garage wall. Then a 3/4" 3'x4' piece of plywood on top of the OSB. Then used lag screws to mount the speed bag frame to the wall. If you watch the video you can see the drum has some movement sided to side and up and down. Less the pole mounted one. The drum, swivel and bag came with it already mounted.

I have an Everlast swivel that I got from Ventanakaz That I will mount when I can find it. I am remodeling my garage by insulating it (I live in Michigan, USA) so I can use it year round. Finished insulating the whole garage today. Next is to put paneling over most walls. Going to leave OSB on 8' in video. Have done ceiling, two outside walls and garage door. I am going to install an electric heater, And move my workshop into one bay of garage. Stairs are getting very hard for me. Other bay is my exercise area. It is finished.

VIDEO: Does it appear drum is correct height for me?

I have a friend who does welding and has offered to add some bracing to the frame for me. Does it need it?

He has also offered to make a thicker drum for me by using a couple layers of plywood. Good idea?

    Thanks for ideas/opinions.
