Ball & Hook options in Canada

It seems strangely difficult to obtain this style of swivel in Canada. Thrasher no long ships here, Arc (I dont have insta, so cant even see what is offered, or if) Forza no longer offering. The only option seems to be the Everlast in the picture (which only seems to come with their platform kits) I am contacting them to see if they can be purchased separately, certainly not on their website. For now I can only purchase a second hand swivel attached to a garbage platform. Just going to make my own platform with 4 inches of hardwood ply. Has anyone used this swivel, and can comment on its function until I can get a better option?

Yep - I've used those plenty. It'll work. Any swivel is better than no swivel.

Right now I am learning on the cheap U bolt shackle, swivel at my gym. Only in my second month but already sense that the gyms set up may not be giving an optimal experience. That being said, I am progressing quickly with it. Have you seen any sites selling that Everlast swivel?

Be very careful using that China made plastic swivel, cheap metal and the other bad thing is it's chrome plated, Made in China! If you have to use it make sure you grease up the contact point between the eyebolt and S-hook, there has been a few that got metal in their eyes from that swivel, i used that swivel as seen for a short time until i put my own internals (my own fabricated ball-hook into it) and i have sold my Vintage Everlast New York Swivels with my ball-hook assemblies in them to Canada, the shipping isn't cheap and Canada charges for anything coming in from the US on top of the shipping charge, i might have pictures of my modified everlast new york swivels on here. (Edit) i have hit on those plastic swivels for a good period of time but i'm more of a heavy hitter so they didn't last to long before the plastic at the hole would wear out, i'm not much of a heavy hitter anymore because of having arthritis...

Roger that, I'll chop off the S hook and rig up a paracord attachment.

Sorry to hear that Thrasher no longer sends to Canada. I have a variety of ball hook swivels laying around, "un-boarded" shall we say, and I'd be happy to send you one.

Just PM me your address in the members section.
