I would like to hear more from morphiusrt about how his vinyl wrap drum is working out. One good thing about MDF is its very heavy. I imagine 2" of MDF wrapped in a colorful vinyl pattern would make a very nice economical drum

Agreed, you know he is down there cooking something up. I've been anticipating seeing either morpheus or the bags feeling the pain.

Wow, well if you happen to talk to him, see if he would be so kind as to ballpark you a 28 inch, same thickness.

Are the dispensaries open there yet? If they are and the drum is close to $100 it may just be worth the drive.

I used a 30mm thick quartz slab on my latest design, 60x60mm square , had a steel frame made using angle iron , there is virtually no vibration , feel is great too

That is a beast, looks solid! Did you build in a security feature that releases the unit and crushes any would be bag thieves?

The length of your swivel stack is pretty extreme. I am not trying to sell my own swivel here when I say this, but I would like to see another swivel up on your platform. Title has a very short u-bolt that would be much faster.

As always your stations look amazing. Did you notice as big of an improvement as I did to the standard Everlast mount after you sandwiched the two platforms?

No, I did not. That platform is on a shaky stud wall and the weight of the drum is not its biggest problem. That is my "guest" platform, where newbies can dick around.

I know what you mean. That secondary station I just sandwiched is on a non load bearing stud wall, hence the 'small bag' station. It was ok before, but feels considerably more stable/solid after sandwiching. Deeper sound as well.

Haha ...If the local scrap thieves knew how much it weighs in sure it would be gone pretty quickly , good job half of the swivel un screw's

It's the angle. It is 3x1" dimensional plywood, so approx. 2,75" combined!
