Thought I'd throw this up as a FYI type of thing. There are currently some NOS Everlast all metal ball hooks being sold on ebay. I bought one and I think another member here did too. I got mine yesterday and the housing is really thin where the ball swivels and the eye hits on the rebounds. I have an older one and they are like night and day. These are made overseas and are definitely a cheaper model. A while back I remember someone posting about metal chips coming off one of their ball hooks. I don't know if it was one of these or not, but I can see where they would chip very easily.
I don't fault the seller at all. They are exactly as advertised and come in the original box, but if you are looking at getting one of these be forewarned, they aren't like the old ones. I pulled the ball and hook out and put it into a new everlast ball and hook plastic base. It works great and I don't have to worry about the metal chipping.
