    Polished copper platform

Well at the advise of a member previously mentioning to polish up my Copper platform i did so and wanted to post a before/after picture of the results!

I sprayed the platform with Tremclad "rust paint revive & protect" to prevent the copper from tarnishing in the future and then i donated it to my kids Jiu Jitsu Dojo "i can always build a new one"... I'm also wondering what some of ya's think the value of my set up is, the copper along with fittings are close to $100 before being built!

As said before "copper is pretty" i have to agree

Must admit this is the first copper pipe platform that I've ever seen, nice work!

It really polished up nice. In the summer when it gets hot you could put a hose fitting on it somewhere and hook up a sprayer to keep you cool while you bagged. Seriously though, It really looks sharp.

Beautiful soldering work, I surmise that you are a plumber or steam fitter by trade?

Would it be fair to value that set up from $300-$500 range?

                        I have no idea...

Easily worth that. If that were a plumbing job what would you charge ?

I lived in an old hotel years ago that had copper soil pipe throughout. That 3" pipe would make a great looking platform.

Hard to say lol plumbers get away with rape IMHO lol, if people realized how easy and simple some jobs are....

3" pipe would not work with this design "just too much fittings and not enough space" and would be pretty heavy but under a different design I'd imagine would be very solid and awesome to look at!

I do have something in the books when I can afford to buy the supplies but I was thinking 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" copper...
It's just going to be 2 triangular shaped bars connecting them bye a manifold to keep everything square and level "very simple" easy to mount and would work with 3" too.

3/4" - 1" steel gas line is something else I was thinking of using but I'd have to cut and thread the steel myself and i don't have threader or cutters for that one ATM.

I really like this set up, maybe its the fitter in me. Steam? Yeah, and I'm thinkin air and pipe organ or something, trombone, I don't know but there is serious potential there.
The stainless gas pipe would be great also.
With all the fittings you can really get creative with designs.
                              Truly art.
Having the correct tools for the job definitely makes a difference.
Price? I guess its really worth what someone will pay for it.
I think its awesome you have somewhere to display and share your art.
                              Thanks
