              Fight

Good luck skunk. I know you'll do well with your superior timing. A liitle advice I'd like to offer is to visualize the first minute of the fight and all the adjustments you might need to make. A strong jab from a tall fast guy will give any fighter fits. Keep us posted and be safe homey.

Great post and advice. Control your emotions at the opening bell. It's your first fight, the adrenaline will be massive, so you must not let the thrill of the moment and roar of the crowd trick you into blowing out your energy in the first round. Let the other guy blow off his. Anticipate his rush for the quick ending, defend and stay away a bit. Get the feel of the ring floor and canvas. Some bounce and stick, some don't. Some rings are big, some small and force more turning and movement. Keep your plan simple, and controlled within yourself. Don't show the speed card immediately. Remember, it is not only your hands that are fast. Your body and feet are fast too. BALANCE is your friend. You must maintain good balance in your stepping and punching movements, so get the feel of the floor. Start with some soft jabs and combo's to get the flow and range. About half way through the first round, After that first big adrenaline rush, that's the time to release the lightning. For a minute or so he has seen your "slow" combo's. Now he is ready for the suprise. By then, he will probably be starting to tire from his over exertion (it's his first fight also..).

Every fighter has the pre-fight rush and has to learn to control it. Do that and the win will come much easier.

                  You CAN do it!

(ps: keep you mouth closed during the rounds)
