Good video, and pretty good control of Basic Punching pattern, however it seems you are having a bit of trouble punching at a constant speed. You seem to start out slow and just keep getting faster and faster until you lose control to stop and start over. Almost every attempt does this. I would forget about "going fast or punching hard" for most of your workout, particularly when you are trying to learn "new" moves or new combinations. Doing them slow will yield much more control and allow you to actually feel the movements, bag rhythm and timing. Trying to do new stuff "Real fast" will find you making it about half the time. Of course you can "go fast" with movements you have control of - and thats' good for a fitness or longer punching workout - but when you are constantly missing and starting over you will progress more slowly.Originally posted by Mrkemp View Post
You also appear to be passing both fists through the bag in a bit of a downward angle and then swinging more upward from behind the bag, which will allow more miss-hits striking a bit below the belly. Try to put the hands a bit more "straight through" and not arc them downward.

Trying to do new things "Real fast" will find you making it about the rest. Of course you can "go fast" with motions you have control of - and that's good for a health and health and fitness or more time kickboxing exercise - but when you are regularly losing and beginning over you will success more gradually.
