What do you think of this, ebozyn?

Ebozyn, ever since you suggested that my new swivel looked like something from Area 51, http://www.speedbagforum.com/forums/...ead.php?t=4016 I have been toying with different ideas... and so has Trainer Raul!

Raul loves to experiment, and this is something he made the other day. I think it will look pretty cool with white, or blue lights, too.

I will be posting an update on my swivel progress later tonight...

That looks too Cool Ms.D. You two are doing some neat stuff. That would be slick to make a SB video with that glowing swiv.

I like tinkering around with stuff like that too. I must get more tools though.

IT would be cool to take the white Fighting Sports Pro 5x8 bag, and draw an alien face on it, the big black eyes, little slit nostrils, tiny mouth.

Tell Raul i think that's Killer Cool Stuff

As we progressed with the creation of this white swivel, we would sit around discussing different ideas. Raul thought it would be cool if he could insert some tiny LED lights into the body of the housing. I had some little lights left over from the holidays, and the next I knew, he was taking the string of lights apart and tweaking them into the swivel. I'm not sure of the whole process, but it involved a little battery-operated gadget from Radio Shack for the on/off switch.

I like it! The FS bag would make a perfect alien!

As a Federal Employee for many years, I made a few "connections" on the inside, and I took the liberty of taking this video clip to a friends for further analysis. He ran it through some top secret software that has a newly developed Hi Speed spectral bagmatizer, with a second pass and frame capture via digital prism chromotography. The result can be seen below. And this is the real deal...

Can your mad scientist make me a solar powered illuminated swivel? Thanks. I hate buying batteries...

Solar-powered? Now, that would be cool. Just think of how much energy is being expended while speed bagging! It would be nice to put it to good use!

A tiny magnet cemented to the top of the swivel ball, and a stationary pickup (a small wire wound around something) - embedded right above and around the magnet - might generate enough current to light 'em up. If Raul can put that together - you're golden. Some here could probably run their fridge off of it.

A rectifier will keep the juice flowing in the right direction (expecially for LEDs), a capacitor will store excess juice, and a resistor will meter the flow to the lights.

I don't have a clue why I know that right now, but I think my work here is done. lol

PD, the first time I read this I spit out my coffee

I read that as "A Rectalfier will keep the juice flowing in the right direction"

OK, I'm due for a colonoscopy exam next month, and I envisioned the doctor looking....

Well, you just had to be here, ...but I bent over laughing.

BTW: The capacitor, well - it's gotta' be a "flux capacitor".

Coffee and colonoscopies. It used to be about sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. What the h happened?

P.S. If they don't reverse the sedative and the other good stuff, it will be one of the most relaxing days of your life. I hope the person who takes you likes you.

                            Best, K
