thank you for the compliments guys. i think this one is a little easier to do than billymacks because this way you dont have to maneuver your opposite hand around your elbow.

the bag is yet again, my trusty 5x8 title yellow with a ringside super swivel.

OK, if you want to be accurate, you are adding the Front Circle Punch (FCP) after the DTES. It's a nice combo, and this is the correct notation.

from your starting single fist pass through FCP ' ' RSP ' '..

            .... DTES ' FCP ' ' RDP ' ' DTES ' FCP ' ' RDP ' ' ...repeat.

            Fist, Elbow order.

            RLL ' R ' ' R-L(RDP) ' ' LRR ' L ' ' L-R (RDP) ' '

Least ways, that's the way I see it.

ahhhhhhh, i see. i was adding the circle punch notation at the front instead of the end, right?

                Exactly.

the lead fist of your DTES is circling back to add the extra FCP.

would you call this a combo or technique? and is a dtes only a dtes when the fcp is at the front of the sequence instead of the end?

I would call this an advanced front punching combination. this would occur easily with three rebounds (triplet rhythm) in between. You have sped it up to one rebound.

In my system, Yes. There is a way to do a DTES with a leading downward elbow and put the fists on at the end, but it is a slighlty awkward motion

In my writing it would be: Downward Double ES, (D-DES) with a Front Circle punch by the other fist after one rebound. It is a Downward Elbow - Fist - Fist contact. It is surely possible, but just doesn't flow smoothly together. So I would say that In my system of notation, the DTES is always a Fist-Downward Elbow Fist, and the fists connect the little finger side of the fist.

Actually, Kevdawg, if you add "the other fist" into the mix, you could be doing a DTES ' FDP combo.

DTES ' FCP. let the middle fist also circle back to make it an

                        fist-Elbow-Fist - Fist - Fist

                        DTES ' FDP

                        R L L ' R-L(FDP)

it will feel like a three punch fist roll at the end.

I found MANY combinations by accident. Missing a punch or just screwing up and accidently pulled something off.

thats exactly what happened to me. when i do combos, a lot of the time i dont even think about it anymore. it just comes off of my arms like muscle memory and i dont even have to try, it just goes. and my body wanted to do the left and right punches at the end of the dtes. i actually had to force myself to do one punch instead of two. weird isnt it?
