That is so cool, TommyT! I didn't really try the vertical board when I was at SB2010. I didn't want to make a fool of myself.
There's a knack to it, I'm sure. And, does it takes a little more power since you're fighting gravity?
I want one!

Na I can't be King, I just put that thing up last week. Thanks T.J.Originally posted by TJ_MaTee View PostTommy, you are the vertical bag King! Very cool stuff! Would be cool to see a side camera angle. Looks like you hitting from a horizontal board until the reverse knees come in. Post some more vids. Nice job dude!
You'll get those knees pretty easy with your timing. Next for me is drum lessons... If I could only find someone cool to learn from.Originally posted by spinsmashpop View PostGreat vert. baggin' !

It does require a little more power and the use of a whole new group of muscles. The reverse single punches require alot of work from the bicepOriginally posted by MsDeville View PostThat is so cool, TommyT! I didn't really try the vertical board when I was at SB2010. and back muscles. While the knees obviously require the whole leg your also using the abdomen to strike the bag. I warn you on this one, if regular bagging is great stuff then vert baggin is medicinal! The Speed Ball should be in every hall

Smoke and mirrors, I tell ya!!
You have gone where few have tried and none have succeeded. But why? Cool dude!! I guess bag height is important to getting the knees involved and not causing too much back stress from bending over. Yes, post some side angle vids. Side punches seem impossible. You are a true inventor, don't ever stop!

Great video Tommy. I was also wondering how high you have the bag mounted, it looks pretty high.Originally posted by PIEFURZ View PostYou have gone where few have tried and none have succeeded. Unreal stuff. Great hitting. I'm out of town with minimal connection so can't say much. Pretty amazing. Loved the knee-up strikes! later.Speed Bag

Tommy,
You've convinced me that vert baggin is worth pursuing. You may be plowing new ground-- especially the knees.
Great job.
I wonder if vert baggin could be a viable alternatve for those with compromised shoulders. Probably have to mount the swivel high enough to avoid stress on the lower back.
