If you could see my face ...
I'm blushing with the overwhelming positive comments!
Thanks everyone. I can't help but mention SB2010... I met several of you at SB2010 who are also here on the forum... and now, it's even more special for me to read your postings or watch your videos – I now know another dimension of you. So glad I had that opportunity to meet you! And all these great comments are truly appreciated...

BAG ON!
Nice hangin' and bangin' with ya at Speed Bag 2010!Loved meeting you at SB2010. To see you "playing" that vertical bag with your drums… unforgettable stuff.
Originally posted by fingers View PostGreat stuff MsD!! nice elbows i really should try learning those!!I love doing elbows. Elbows and punching in triplicate. I like the sound pattern of the bag. So, are you pretty-much hooked on the S-hook? I switched about the same time, and I love it!

Wow! You have great sense of time. That's "musician speak" for hitting on right on the beat without getting ahead (rushing) or falling behind (dragging). As I watched your video, I had a smile on my face thinking, ‘Damn, she’s right there, right on it.’ [The elbow stuff is obviously harder to do.] You were groovin’ girl. Great. Do more.

The sound was good.
Nice poster from SB2010.
Keep it up. Wonderful.
Jack
It takes a while to synch it, but it's only at the beginning… I don't edit the timing once I lock it in at the intro. I can also adjust the speedball volume so it won't overpower the music. (Geez, do I sound obsessive, or what?!)
Anyway, I figure since I don't have "manly" punches due to being a weenie woman , I gotta make it interesting! (And, Metaldad, if you're reading this, I use 3 lights when I film!)

Nice. You're getting good at this. Wish I had your shoulder flexibility. Is this something you work on, or is it just the way you're constructed?

I'm not sure how to answer your question about my flexibility. I do work at it... every day for an hour or so – been working on different elbow strikes since winter. But, growing up, I was very limber… I've been very easy on my body over the years. Not into exercise in general. And the most athletic I've been was when I played co-ed volleyball in my 30's. I just practice a lot. A lot!

Originally posted by TJ_MaTee View PostDee, that was "SO" Awesome! That, lowered my blood pressure and was exciting at the same time! It was hypnotizing it was so smooth. And you do have a good sense of "time" as Jack mentioned. Very cool Dee.
Originally posted by The Baggist View PostVery cool Dee!!! Super nice double elbow work!!! Smooth and controlled, kept your timing and groove going for 5 minutes straight!! Awesome.
Originally posted by crapshoot View PostIt really did have a cool, otherworldly feeling too it.

Originally posted by Speedbag View PostAlright DEE, now "you B jammin!". I'm seeing those awesome split fist combo's on beat during the fist half! very nice. Sounds like you're working in some of the syncopated combinations also.
I wish we could have worked together a bit more on some dedicated Punch Drumming. Maybe play some songs over and over that you wanted to work on. You've got a good ear for it and I think could pick up a lot to go with your already very smooth moves.
Good job! punch on and listen to bag beat! Don't force it - What you need rhythmically is already inside. Just let if flow through the bag, like Hand Dancing.
Yes!! I would have loved some SB sessions while at the event. I'm still such a rookie and I have so much to learn… But there just weren't enough hours in those 3 days at SB2010. So many Forum baggers to watch, and talk to, it was just a blur of activity… and it went by much too quickly for me.
Thanks so much for the advice… hmmm...Hand Dancing...

The ones I have seen may have speed but not those moves, or your style and grace. You are truly inspiring, I've gotta go and bag! Oh yeah. And, this is the Title bag I won in a drawing at SB2010. I really like it. I think Bif told me that he punches on this model. It's nice on the hands and I like the way it rebounds.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said but I too was feeling that chilled out hypnotic effect!
Great to see you enjoying the bag so much, look forward to more vids!
