What a great way to retire. Most folks can only dream about that.

BTW, Scissorhands, looks like your legend continues to grow.

Sounds like a great book and found these pics of you two together.

Maybe someday the see-thru platform will be made to be filmed again for all to see.

That's fascinating! I bet it took forever to painstakingly draw all those illustrations!

I wonder if he still hits the bag?

Actually that's not quite true. A clear board for filming overhead was done Years ago (we're talking 1970's) in Memphis Tennesse by Dr. Roy Schroeder (taught me the speed bag..)

He made many film clips of himself from up above on a clear plexiglass board. He did that to use the film frames to draw the many pictures of hitting the bag in two dimensions (1) side view (2) over head view. He had many of the frames developed into pictures so he could hand draw the perspective. (Yes he did hand draw each picture. Now That's dedication!).

The board is shown on the cover of his book (below) and a few technique pages from inside show the drawings. the pen scratching on the pages is mine, interpeting his work and pictures in "my" own terminology and adding the number or rebounds between movements (Something his did not account for easily).

I doubt any of this filmed footage ever saw the light of public display, but he had several film cans of it in his office along with a projector to watch it.
