Another young un on the rise

I originally posted this in ukspeedbag's thread as a shout out to him and his son, I decided to move it so more of you could enjoy: My four year old giving a try at the bag

I don't bring him out often, the present condition of the garage is one reason. But that will probably change once I get things organized. He has to go at his pace as well, his attention span is typical of a kid his age.

Your children and the children of the other baggers punching here in this forum have huge advantages that you're giving them. Amongst other things, the bag teaches perseverence and staying focused, stuff I didn't have until later in life. Plus, I mean, how cool could I have been in high school had I grown up baggin'?

He's gonna be a heartbreaker when he gets older. Raise him up about 6 inches and it might be a big easier for him on that nice 10x7 bag.

MD, Maybe you should reduce the air pressure in the bag making it a little slower and softer on his hands. Joe wore cycling gloves when he 1st started bagging, in fact I remember my hands hurt at 1st too.

Like Alan says, raise him up too. I made a box for Joe to stand on but man, did he grow in a year? The box is now redundant.

There's no better feeling than watching the kids doing something that we enjoy so much. Can you imagine what they'd be like in a few years? They learn quicker than us oldies. I can just hear David now "Step aside dad and I'll show you how it's done properly".

Anyway, more speed bags for David.

Ah, he's Shy. Can I hit it one more time, Dad?

You'll be snoozing one night, wondering what all that racket's about!

I would consider alerting the neighbors now...
