I would love one of those! It would be great to bag outside; that would fit perfectly on the metal clothesline pole in my backyard.

EDIT: Great avatar Baggist. Do you know who each person is?

Bag and Biff, agreed, would sure like a platform outside like that. Don't have to worry about the weather.

His clip was very clever too. Just don't know how well it would actually work since it still will allow the bag to travel off 45 degrees, but I'm sure he tried all that.

Many years ago I had a platform with a ring. The only thing about the ring if I remember correctly, you have to keep the same size bag so the belly hits the ring real nice.

I'm not too keen on the attachment to keep the bag going in one direction. It's a nice adaption, just not for me.

I would attach a 1 - 1/2" piece of wood to the ring, then unfasten it and take it in during the winter months.

Agreed. I'm a general noob bagger, but that seems like a "control crutch" to me. Control is part of Bagging, right?

Yeah I think I would opt for a board as opposed to the ring and it would definitely have to have a ball hook swiv on it.

Biff that is Rocky Graziano in that pic, a 1940's highly ranked middle weight champ who also went on to have a career as a t.v. comedian and was played by Paul Newman in the film "Somebody Up There Likes Me". Not sure who the trumpeter is though...wish i did.

Rocky loves to make his own equipment. His original contact with me years ago was to show some of his equipment adaptions, especially the swivel as shown in this clip. When he builds a stand it is ROCK solid.

His use of that cane was magnificent.
Personally I would have used my riding crop.

                    Thanx For The Info.

Hey thanx for the clip that rocky put up. That's the way I think I'm gonna build my platform with a little modifications, like maybe adding a little plexiglass to add to the ring so I can use any size bag to punch.

                      Fantastic!

That would be solid on a cemented post. Considering the post he was using was a portable basketball post, the actual construction was rock solid.

                      Thanks for sharing that Baggist.

                            Howdy Folks!

                            How we all swinging?

Apparently the old Everlast all metal B/H swivel would splinter, and when in use fragments of the metal would break off and land in the users eye, as I found out.

Whilst its never happened to me (B/H flakes in the eye), on one of the Evelast all metal B/H that I have, the hole in the housing of the ball has become rather elongated and furled around the edge. So I guess they saw it as a safety issue.
