I'm not ready to cancel Netflix yet. I like the fact that I can watch "30 Rock" any time I want from my iPhone... or laptop.

What I learned about bags and baggers at Speed Bag II

I am very disappointed that I can't see your vid Dee! I always look forward to your punch drumming and have been waiting to see if this vid would finally become able to view I absolutely love this song too.

Maybe you could upload it to facebook????

No doubt the Nos Ringside's have incredibly quick rebounding qualities.

Also with these Title Pros, and Fighting Sports you do Sacrifice a little speed, but the bag makes up for it in accuracy, and forgivingness, these bags have Gigantic sweet spots, and if you want to do tricky, fancy moves, that is pretty important.

On the other hand if you want total speed, and don't mind giving up a little accuracy, reyes, ringside, are obviously faster than Title, and FS. I have ringside and reyes. both are nice looking, and fast. and great for speed, fantastic for boxing style, and pretty good all around, but if you're gonna use ringside, and, or reyes for trick baggin' you better have your Sh%t together, because they do require more control, if you throw alot of side punches, elbows from all angles, phantom punches, over, and under the elbow, elbow rotations, spins, traps. bumps.. ect you could run into a bit of trouble.

It's a little like comparing a top fuel dragster, and an f1 ferrari. they both work great for different things, one goes a quite a bit faster, while the other corners alot better. both awesome cars. they just have different uses.

Comparing bags is probably something that is necessary in terms of fitting a bag to one's skill level or style preference at any given bagging session. Baggers on the other hand, are a bit more complex and obvious in there level of performance and capabilities.

What I've learned from watching the likes of Skunk, Juxt, TommyT, and Alan, is that, these are baggers that have an extreme capacity to power through slower rebounding bags as if they didn't notice that they are slow rebounders. When I tried to keep that same pace with similar bags, I quickly realized how much more power they packed without sacrificing in the accuracy department. SpeedbagAtaraxis is another bagger who may be in their class in the near future. Also, Tim may be a very powerful bagger but he is so smooth in his punching techniques and combos that it is hard for me to tell if he packs a lot of power He makes it look effortless.

As I said above, highly skilled and powerfully accurate baggers have a way of making this statement sound true. However, after being on site with these bagging Phenom's mentioned earlier, it becomes quite obvious that a quicker rebounding bag makes it easier for me to keep a quicker pace (it's a way for me to cheat a bit due to my lack of power).

Very true Nova, however. I would add, that to have the entire spectrum, a bagger should not only have the power that keeps the bag rebounding, but also a delicate touch when needed, I know that alot of the stuff that i TRY to do on the bag requires a light touch , and used with the harder hits, (the power) It is this dynamic that enables the bagger to pull off most anything on the bag. I feel it's mostly about DYNAMICS, and CONTROL. and in a way, i guess, they are one in the same.

Exactly! It is not all about "speed" and going fast. Actually, "speed and going fast" have little to do with the ability to "Punchdrum" to a song. You can punch to any song "fast or slow" if you have bag control and the rhythmic sense (and control), of your bag beat.

I might add the Bag you use makes little difference in the end. Yes, every bag is a bit different in feel and action, but any bag will only do what you tell it. After a few punches the bagger should adapt to any bag (and swivel) and be able to make it work. If it doesn't work to your satisfaction then you may want to change bags or swivel to one more of your choosing, but any bag can be used to punch with any song. It's just up to the bagger to make it work, if he/she can. Skunk can shred any bag on any swivel, and I pity the bag that messes with TommyT.
