                There were a lot of these acts out there at one time. I had a newspaper clip from a what I believed to be a NYC local paper (Brooklyn, maybe the Bronx) dating from the late 1930's early 40's of a husband and wife team that gave striking bag exhibitions. They're out there waiting to be rediscovered

                  I found this in the online archives of the Seattle Times newspaper, and had to purchase the download of the April 13, 1947 edition. It was driving me crazy not to know who that was... Most "fancy bag punching" references lead to Young Corbett of 1904, 1916, etc. way before this time reference.

                  also got the original picture off ebay, from the Seattle Times link.
