        Very useful and informative thanks!

I cringe when I see some guys working out at my gym. Most of them are using way too much weight and they are contorting their bodies way out of position to target the muscle groups they are supposed to be targeting. At the very least they're not getting the benefit that they could and at worst, they could injure themselves.

It's really tempting to talk to them between sets but I don't want to be one of those guys that does that kind of stuff. When I first started lifting at around age 15, I had a guy who was a bodybuilder take me through all the exercises and how to do them properly, how to do sets, rest periods, changing muscle groups each day, etc. It really made a difference and I really try to pay particular attention to my form.

I lift less weights than a lot of guys in the gym, but at least I'm doing it right. I guess if they razz me about not lifting more, maybe then I'll point out their poor form to them. I have the ability and strength to do what they're doing, I just want to do it right and get the maximum benefit, not try to impress the other pinheads that are there.
