  • never underestimate a good stretch

Well, I've gone and done it, I got so geeked on getting back in the saddle that I left out one MAJOR ingredient:STRETCHING and WARMING UP!! Yup, me big DOOFUS! Luckily I only strained a rib, but man did it scare the .... out of me. I truly thought I was actually having a heart attack! If you're not already doing so (which everyone here but me already is) Stretch and warm up, stretch and cool down! I gotta remember that I ain't that 20 year old wanna be stud.....I'm a 40 year old trying to get it back buffoon(well not so much a buffoon)Stretch, stretch, stretch and warm up to avoid injury!

Man 46 was a great year for me.

I think I went through puberty. I'm not sure - it was a long time ago

I was also in my baggin' prime. I really miss those workouts...

I think it was Satchel Paige who said, "How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you were?"

I try to live by those words, but when the aches and pains don't go away as quickly as they once did, I have my doubts.

                            I hear ya.

The problem is, we're older now than we've ever been. My body keeps reminding me of that. In my 20's, 30's, and even 40's - I didn't care.

But all things considered, If life is a race, I'd rather keep running, (slower than I'd like... but still running) than cross the finish line.

                              Quoted for truth.

Amen, Alan. Always better to be on this side of Mother earth.
