As I recall there were five platforms in house and one that was brought in for a demo. The demo one was a prototype of a folding metal one. It was built to be mobile and I don't know if it is going to show up this year. So as of last july the were five platforms that I know of at the Real Gymm.

Patrick brought the very cool mobile metal platform from Sifu George, not really a prototype, but not widely available either. Very cool machine.

I hope to see more platforms at X. Otherwise, there is going to be lines at all the bags.

Are there ,peak times? I assume Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening are the busiest for these events.

lol It's free standing but weighs about 260. And you have to be 5'9 to 5'11 to use it

There is a huge weight lifting tournament at Real Gym outside that Saturday. Donnie started "The Beast of the Bay." last year and tons of weight lifters and friends show up. Last year Very few of the lifting crowd made it up to the bags, but could be more this year. Also, a lot of the baggers drifted outside to watch the lifting, so it's hard to guage. Some of the Baggers also competed in the lifting and probably will again this year, So during that event they are not upstairs around the speed bags.

Does anyone know of complications that may arise from bringing speed bags along on the airlines?

I don't know of any, except of course to deflate them before packing.

I arrived in Hazlet tonight. No problem at all getting deflated bags over. You should be good to go.
