Quick question on my new speed bag swivel

I just got back into using the speed bag after not having done it for years (I used it to cross train for fencing in college) and I have found it to be so much more fun now that I am a little older......but the new all in one speed bag stand my wife got me has a swivel that is kinda sloppy as I would describe it. It is a chain link type. Is there anyway to stop the sloppy action on this swivel or should I just toss it and get a better quality one?

    Hey Capt.

I'm not sure what you mean about "sloppy action" but if you mean it doesn't rebound exactly as you'd expect, that is a problem that happens occasionally from the Chain link types. In your case it may depend on "which version" of the chain link you have, as their are several versions - but if it was ME (my opinion only..) I'd toss if for a another style. Way too much trouble to put a bag on to only have it swing poorly.

personally, I like the ballhook for it's rebound accuracy, and this Watkins (boxing gear) is the only metal ballhook available.

Not a metal ballhook. Everlast only makes the plastic ballhook that I can find.

As a follow up.........I did find a Everlast metal ballhook swivel......it is the model 4440 and it works great.......much better than the chainlink type.
