In all the pictures I've seen of platforms with mounted ARC's, I don't recall seeing anybody else with the Whip! It practically jumped out of the little pizza box at me.

Yep I have an actual tuxedo that I am going to wear it to dinner tonight so I just might hang the swivel around my neck as a conversation piece.

What material do you specify for the power balls?

Those are Delrin ball bearings. a.k.a. Acetal, a.k.a. POM
Very low coefficient of friction, especially against the copolyesters I use for the bases. Also, the Delrin is harder than the copolyesters, so unless some kind of grit gets in the channel with the ball, these babies stay perfectly smooth and shiny, no lubrication necessary.
