Everlast still sells the plastic base ball hook swivel. They are not on the website, but if you call up they have them. They are around $12 shipped, and you can either glue the eyebolt into the plastice ball or replace it with a metal ball like others have done.

What phone number did you call, and what model # swivel did you ask for?

Hey, I just got one of the Watkins Swivels. They are available now. Mine just showed up in the mail today. Haven't had a chance to hit it yet but it looks to be very solid construction. Very similar to the old school everlast swivels.

Hmm, doesn't appear to be the late version that had the plating flaking off issue, might not be a bad buy

Here is a copy of the email after I inquired about the plastic ball hooks.

                    "Dear Customer,
The swivel is $5.00 (Part#4440U) plus shipping $6.95. You will need to purchase the parts by phone at 1-800-821-7930 ask for the parts department. The order will need to be paid with a debit/credit card.
                    Thanks,
                    Cody"

$11.95 brand new while I see these going on Ebay for $15+ because Everlast does not have them on their website.

Thanks, jaja. I ordered two of them for the mounting plates and ball socket housings. Those parts are difficult to find in good condition.

Crap, I misread your post and didn't notice the housing was plastic. Oh well, I have a couple of expensive eye bolts and s-hooks.
