Over the door platform (home built)

Just finished this today and I'm pleased with the results. Very solid.
I built it to be fully adjustable using mostly parts I scrounged out of my garage.
Materials I had to purchase came to $80
    Bag and swivel $60

The reason I had to design this to work over the door:
    1. I have no more wall space
    2. I want access to it, when the car is in the garage
    3. Outside wall for noise

It's nice to have air flow through the doorway while working it.

        Thanks,
It's 2 layers of 3/4" particle board glued together, covered in plastic laminate.
It's not what I call loud, just a nice solid thump.

Brilliant! Great design and craftsmanship. I like the way you planned that out.

Here is another recent find for doorways:

I just connected with the developer yesterday. Planned cost $159.00 and he says he is bringing several to the 6th annual speed bag gathering in Keyport New Jersey.

yet another great reason to attend the event...

            Thanks!
I found that no one made an adjustable bracket like it, for my application, so I had to come up with a solution.
The adjustment disc is easy to access from the ground.

I'm still not sold on the EZ.
            1. it might be too low for taller guys
            2. it is not meant to be your daily work out platform.

Still, not a bad idea for some that might travel and want to stay in practice.

And also might be too low for shorter guys. Taller guys can simple bend their knees a bit, work the quads. Shorter users could stand on an adjustable fitness step

Probably true for a hard punching workout. Could be some shaking around the board edges the furthest from the bar. Might need another couple of stabilization bars on the other edges BUT we won't know until tried. Like you said ...probably a great "quickie" speed bag workout and fine for traveling on the road with a small bag. I don't know the bag size he was using but I'm going to be anything over an 8x5 might flirt with the boards edge.
